This is a basic (oh so basic) Elementor gallery (no thanks)
This is a Filterable Gallery widget
it’s not bad from a user point of view, and it’s built into Elementor, and it allow links in captions – but it doesn’t look as if you can show captions int the lightbox view, and the admin is really fiddly – you have to open each photo one by one to add the captions etc, and you can’t add photos in a batch
