What’s On

We warmly welcome you to St Mary’s over this Christmas period, whether you are a church person or not. There’s plenty going on for all ages, as we celebrate together the birth of Jesus, son of God.

Services, Celebrations, Prayer & Reflection in December

Wednesday, June 9

9.30-10.30am – Toddler Praise

We would love you to join us for some play, a story and a song on the grassy area in the churchyard. (Just up from the Barden Road gate, and down from the St Mary’s Lane gate.)

10am – Confirmation service with Bishop Jonathan

7.30pm – Carols at the George & Dragon
All welcome! At the George & Dragon, just opposite St Mary’s

10am – Morning worship

10am – Online worship (on YouTube)

Saturday, December 17

6pm –  Carols by candlelight
Beautiful carols old and new, with our wonderful community choir 

Sunday, December 18

10am – All-age Holy Communion 

 

Wednesday, December 21

4pm – Carols round the Christmas tree
Family-friendly carols round the tree for all ages – inside the church, with piano

 

Saturday, December 24

2pm & (approx) 3pm –  Crib service
A family focused celebration of Christ’s Birth, with acting, narration and carols.
We run two performances, one after the other, to fit everyone in. 

11.30pm –  Midnight Communion

10am – Christmas celebration

10am – Online worship (on YouTube)

Sunday, January 1

10am – All-age Holy Communion

6pm – Said evensong

Every weekday

8.30am – One of our homegroups runs morning Zoom prayers for 10-15 minutes.

Messy Camp –  September 3-4

St Mary’s weekend of games, food, scripture and craft – with optional camping!  Based at Speldhurst school. Download the booking form and give it to Kelly Gurr, or email Kelly with details or questions. Payment on the day by cash or QR code

Services on Zoom

Children’s and parents’ groups

Our pre-school parents provide great support for each other – do contact us to be included. We have also been running a monthly outdoor under-5s Praise & Play session.

Youth groups

Hallelujah! We have wonderful groups for 9s to 11s and 11s to 16s. Your young people are very welcome

Homegroups

All of our homegroups are meeting for friendship, prayer and study, on different days of the week. They are the lifeblood of our church and we would love to involve you.

Social

St Mary’s members meet for loads of social things – from walking to craft, and you’re very warmly invited.
